MILabs launches the largest portfolio of customizable and upgradable Optical Imaging systems

MILabs’ latest developments in in vivo optical imaging blend high performance with affordability and industry-leading upgradability. Its extensive optical imaging product portfolio now includes new economical benchtop units for 2D imaging of up to ten mice simultaneously, extendable to 3D and 4D optical tomography when combined with MILab’s U-CT – a high-performance diagnostic CT system. An unprecedented broad choice of optical filters makes these units optimally configurable for Bioluminescence, Fluorescence, and Cherenkov imaging.

Start with customizable high-throughput benchtop 2D Optical Imaging

HR and UHR optical modules installed on benchtop docking station.

The new optical modules, shown here in their benchtop docking station, can be tailored with large-area ultra-sensitive 1 Mpx (“HR”) or 4 Mpx (“UHR”) cameras. Moreover, the systems can be equipped with 6, 12, 24, 36, or 48 emission filters.

By simply transferring the optical module from the docking station to MILabs’ CT scanner, seamless integration of Optical and CT hardware & software occurs. One can now perform Optical and CT imaging in parallel for dedicated applications. Or one can elect to perform Optical Tomography, where segmented CT images are used to guide the quantitative reconstruction of 3D/4D tomographic bioluminescence or fluorescence images (“BLT” or “FLT”).

From benchtop 2D Optical to translatable 3D/4D Optical/PET/SPECT/CT

Want to translate your Optical Imaging results to clinically compatible PET or SPECT data? Just add the desired modality to your Optical/CT platform. MILabs can deliver any combination of in-line PET, SPECT, Optical, and CT on a single platform, or you can add any of these modalities to suit your application demands. Eliminates animal shuttling and avoids inconsistent anesthesia.
