Press Release: MILabs Appoints Marcus Salmon as Director, Global Sales

Experienced life-science imaging sales leader to drive worldwide commercial growth

MILabs, a leading developer of high-performance optical, CT and nuclear preclinical imaging systems, today announced the promotion of Marcus Salmon to the position of Director, Global Sales, effective 1 August 2026. In his expanded role, Mr Salmon will lead MILabs’ global commercial organisation, with responsibility for the company’s worldwide sales strategy, customer partnerships and market expansion.

Mr Salmon joined MILabs in 2023 as Sales and Business Development Manager for the EMEA region, where he has played a central role in strengthening the company’s presence across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His promotion recognises both his commercial impact and his deep understanding of the preclinical and biomedical imaging market.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in scientific and life-science instrumentation sales. Prior to MILabs, he spent six years as Sales Manager, U.K. & Ireland at FUJIFILM VisualSonics, and earlier held senior sales and business-development roles at LI-COR Biosciences, BioSource International (later part of Invitrogen / Life Technologies) and R&D Systems. This breadth of experience spans the full commercial cycle – from building market awareness and securing key-opinion-leader support to establishing reference sites and closing complex, high-value sales.

“Marcus combines a rare depth of commercial expertise with a genuine passion for the science our customers pursue every day,” said Thomas van Elzakker, Chief Executive Officer of MILabs. “His leadership in the EMEA region has been exceptional, and I am delighted to see him take on global responsibility. As demand for our multi-modal preclinical imaging continues to grow, Marcus is exactly the right person to lead our sales organisation into its next phase.”

“MILabs develops some of the most advanced preclinical imaging technology in the world, and it is a privilege to help bring these capabilities to researchers everywhere,” said Marcus Salmon. “I look forward to working with our talented teams and partners around the globe to support scientific discovery and deliver real value to our customers.”
