3D and 4D optical imaging
Gain accurate, depth-resolved insight into biological activity, so you can localize signals confidently and study dynamic processes over time.
MILabs’ optical imaging systems allow researchers to move beyond surface-weighted 2D imaging and achieve fully quantitative 3D and 4D optical tomography. By combining high-sensitivity optical imaging with integrated anatomical CT, researchers can localize bioluminescent and fluorescent signals in three dimensions and monitor biological changes over time with greater accuracy and confidence.
By docking the optical module directly with the CT system, hardware and software integrate automatically, making it easy to transition from qualitative imaging to quantitative, depth-resolved workflows without added complexity.

Hybrid FLT/CT and BLT/CT
Improve quantification and localization in optically challenging tissues, so you can trust your data even in deep or heterogeneous organs.
Hybrid fluorescence tomography (FLT/CT) and bioluminescence tomography (BLT/CT) combine sensitive optical imaging with ultra-high-resolution CT to correct for tissue-dependent scattering and absorption. CT-derived anatomical priors guide reconstruction, enabling more accurate localization and true quantification of optical signals in vivo.
The same integrated setup supports 4D optical imaging, allowing repeated scans to track biological processes in three dimensions over time.

Hybrid FLT/CT at RWTH University in Aachen
“MILabs’ hybrid FLT/CT is the only system that can obtain accurate in vivo biodistributions of fluorescence activity in deep tissue. Because of its in-line diagnostic CT, the system can determine the highly heterogeneous scattering and absorption in tissues, including those in dark organs, such as the heart, liver and kidneys.”
