MILabs is excited to announce its 7-year anniversary of delivering ultra-high resolution molecular imaging solutions to researcher’s world-wide. What began as a passion to deliver the first sub half-mm SPECT imaging system based upon several unique new imaging technologies and patented “focused” multi-pinhole collimators resulting in the initial U-SPECT systems has grown in a very short time into a global company with world-wide distribution and systems placed in key research institutions in all corners of the world.
With an on-going R&D focus, the initial U-SPECT technology has advanced through several product generations and now delivers 0.25 mm resolution or over 12000 cps/MBq sensitivities with the new U-SPECT PLUS systems. During this time, the initial MILabs U-SPECT technologies have also spawned innovative new products for sub-mm PET imaging and the first system to offer true simultaneous SPECT/PET imaging with the VECTor. With the goal of providing researchers with new tools to enable in-depth biological studies that up to now have not been possible, the recent VECTor+ system announcement demonstrates <0.25 mm SPECT resolution and <0.75 mm spatial resolution for PET tracers (see press release VECtor+). A desire to place high-performance SPECT and VECTor SPECT/PET imaging for mice and rats “within everyone’s reach” inspired the recent introduction of the MILabs mini product family of easy to use bench-top SPECT and PET systems that combine simplified workflow, compact dimensions and affordable pricing to offer researchers with limited lab space the opportunity to perform high quality preclinical imaging. In fact in these 7 short years, what began with the initial successes based on innovative technologies in the MILabs U-SPECT system has grown into a comprehensive product family of 16 molecular imaging solutions designed to meet any imaging need and now combining even modular MRI to bring researchers MILabs high-performance imaging solutions in the areas of PET/SPECT/CT-MRI.
MILabs would like to thank her clients and collaborators worldwide for the initial years of success since without their trust, confidence and creative ideas this level of success would not have been possible. At MILabs we highly value the opportunity to further develop our associations and to establish new scientific relationships so together we can attain our on-going goal of delivering the industry’s highest performance, most reliable imaging solutions while continuing to expand the limits of molecular imaging.
