During the MILabs Reception and Molecular Science Review held during the recently concluded Society of Nuclear Medicine meeting in Miami, FL, USA, MILabs announced the 2012 small animal Image of the Year Award. The awards were presented at the end of the inaugural “Highlight Lecture” delivered by Founder and CEO Frederik Beekman. In the lecture outstanding work from worldwide MILabs users was presented. The research shown was of such high quality that the jury decided to select three additional awards in the categories of Oncology, Cardiology and Brain research. The MILabs 2012 Brain Research Award went to Dr. Tine Wyckhuys and colleagues l from the University of Antwerp & Ghent University for their work on quantitative molecular imaging of neuromodulation effects in the rat brain. |
